Daniel Edwards seems to enjoy making a mockery out of celebrities with his sculptures. The artist who portrayed Britney Spears giving birth on all fours and Michelle Obama topless has made Jay-Z the target of his latest artistic rant.
The art was created to promote his new facebook page: "Mogul (Jay-Z Occupies Occupy Wall Street)".
On the top of Jay-Z's head are images of Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Burns from the Simpsons and Richie Rich.
Jay Z has been the target of criticism for trying to profit from the Occupy Wall Street Movement. He began selling t-shirts last week and is planning a concert with Russell Simmons. Some, like Ryan Mack, expect that Russell will be out there pushing his Rush Card in the process. But some are saying that Edwards is being too hard on the king of hip hop, especially since he is not likely to turn down any paychecks from his art either.
So, does Edwards have a point or is he too trying to profit from a movement just like Jay-Z? You be the judge.
