Kanye West and his manager Don “DC” Crowley have been cleared of all three-misdemeanor charges that resulted from a scuffle with the paparazzi in 2008. The charges of battery, grand theft and vandalism against West and Crowley were thrown out by Los Angeles court commissioner Mark Zuckman.
Not getting away scott free, the two will have to do 50-hours of community service and then the matter will be expunged from their records. They also paid the paparazzi in a civil suit, which further helped the case get tossed. The two also completed 12 hours of anger management classes.
As previously reported, on September 12, 2008, harassing photographers caught the short end of the stick when the two got into a shoving match with the hounding reporters that resulted in the cameras and gear being smashed.
Nearly 2 years ago on November 10, 2007, Dr. Donda West, the mother of entertainer Kanye West passed away at the age of 58 following cosmetic surgery. The retired professor underwent surgery without a medical clearance, her preexisting coronary artery disease and multiple postoperative factors following surgery are what led to the fatal outcome.
The Donda West law, makes health checks and a written clearance mandatory before being allowed to undergo plastic surgery in the state of California.
"Sometimes patients may think they are well enough for cosmetic surgery, but in reality are not," Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter said. "This bill will potentially save lives."
Carter was contacted by Donda West's niece, Yolanda Anderson, to propose the bill in February 2008. The bill was approved by the senate, but vetoed by the Governor, due to an overwhelming amount of bills. In an effort to not give up on her aunt, Yolanda was determined to get the law passed.
The Donda West Law Assembly Bill 1116 was re-submitted, February 27, 2009 and as of October 12, 2009, The Donda West Law is now a law. Yolanda Anderson realizes that this will never bring Dr. West back; however the comfort in knowing that she turned Donda's Tragedy into Triumphed.

I don't know about you but I feel like I saw this coming a mile away. Recently named one of MTV's “Hottest MCs in the Game”, Kanye West was also nominated for a whopping nine awards Saturday evening on October 10, but he did not show up to the 4th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards.
The word is after the Taylor Swift-gate Ye was going to take some time off. Then came news of Kayne backing out of the highly anticipated Fame Kills Tour with Lady Gaga and the never ending photo ops with Amber Rose.
Now Kayne is reportedly spending a month at a Hindu retreat in India.

MTV has confirmed that Kanye West and Lady Gaga's co-headlining Fame Kills tour is canceled.
No reason has yet been cited for the decision to cancel all 34 live shows.
According to tour promoter Live Nation, full ticket refunds will be issued.
Just yesterday the promotional video for the tour was released. The clip portrayed a nude Lady Gaga nestled in the arms of Kanye West.
The video had only added further hype to the much anticipated tour, which would have begun November 10th in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lady Gaga is still scheduled to perform this weekend on Saturday Night Live.
Following his infamous interruption of the VMAs, Kanye West vowed to retreat from the public eye. However, the "passionate" rapper/producer has a November tour with singer/funny dresser Lady Gaga to promote, so we knew his retirement from the spotlight would be short-lived.
Sure enough, on Wednesday, Kanye posted an "artistic" trailer clip to promote his Fame Kills tour with her Ladyship. The subject heading for the post read "What Happened to All the Rock Stars? The Fame Killed Them!"
West, 32, interrupted Taylor Swift's award speech to tell the crowd her award for best female video should have gone to Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce.
Speaking to Radio 1's Jo Whiley, Jay-Z said West's behavior had been "rude" but added: "He didn't kill anybody".
West has since apologized to Swift, but President Barack Obama called him a "jackass" in an off-the-cuff comment.
Jay-Z did concede the incident had been "inappropriate at the time". But, as West's former mentor, he added: "He's just a super-passionate person".
The 39-year-old, who will support Coldplay at Wembley Stadium this weekend, said: "Of course it was rude because it was her moment but that's the way he really felt.
"I think it was rude but the way they're treating him... He's on the cover of every paper. He didn't kill anybody. No one got harmed."
Jay-Z and Kanye West recently teamed up on Jay-Z's new album The Blueprint 3.
Hmm…I find it strange that Jay-Z is defending Kanye when word on the street is he flipped out after Lil’ Mama jumped on stage during his performance, which was a lot less worse than what Kanye did.
“The book is extremely timely considering the muse for the title. Rapper Kanye West has been a newsmaker for the past week after interrupting country singer Taylor Swift during her acceptance of her first MTV Video Music Award last Sunday.

Kanye has been a friend for quite a long time. I’ve watched him at some very great points and I’ve watched him at some very low points, but most of us just don’t go through that on national television,” Johnson said.
Is Amber Rose bringing Kanye down? Word is that she was letting him take Henney to the head right before the awards show. Does this make her a bad woman or is it all on Kanye himself?
*The blog site Bossip.com has posted a screen shot showing an untold number of Twitterers calling Kanye West the N-word in response to his interruption of Taylor Swift at the VMAs.
Bossip pointed out, "All you have to do is a real-time twitter search for ‘Kanye and n**ger’ and you can see that racism is alive and well.
Twitter user JacobFredG wrote: "I really hope I don't have any black followers, and if I do, just stop following me. Kanye West is a stupid ni**er."
I guess Kanye West may have a conscious after all, or at least he is acting like he does. Shortly after his little stint at the VMA’s last night Kanye apologized to Taylor Swift. Read what he had to say below.

It is our opinion at YBG that you should no longer feel obligated to ride the Kanye West emotional roller coaster, as this brother has obviously lost his damn mind. First, the rapper makes a non-rap album that seems stupid, with a bunch of crazy songs that show that he is not in his right mind. Second, there is the craziness of that ridiculous relationship with Amber Rose. Last night was the kicker: his assault of Taylor Swift’s moment on stage.
We’re not Taylor Swift fans, but if she won the damn award Kanye, leave her alone. You would be livid if Garth Brooks went up on the stage and took your sh*t. Just kill it Ye and get that therapy you been needin. It’s starting to get on our nerves.
The WTF moment of the night at the VMA’s definitely had to be when Kanye West walked on stage while Taylor Swift was giving her acceptance speech after winning “Video of the Year” and Kanye announced that he thought Beyonce should have won. For those of you who missed his bitchery click here.
Now we all know that Kanye West doesn’t like the paparazzi, and after his altercation with one of them last year you would think he learned to ignore them, but he hasn’t. Apparently this video is suppose to be some big deal, the reason why I have NO clue. Maybe because Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West are all in the song, but one thing I do know is that the song is a little annoying and Rihanna screaming in the background doesn’t help. Kanye West may have made a lot of boasts in his career, but claiming to be the new King of Pop following the death of Michael Jackson is not one of them.
The superstar rapper hit his official Web site to shoot down rumors that he's taking the title from the late Michael Jackson.
"I was just listening to [radio host] Wendy Williams and heard some quote about me saying I'm the new King of Pop," he wrote. "Not only did I not say that, I haven't said anything."
Kanye also blogged that it upsets him that people would think he would make such a statement following Michael's death.
I guess people are saying anything to find the reason between Kim and Reggie’s break up, and now sources are saying Kanye West was part of the reason. Supposedly he was sending Kim some inappropriate text messages, which upset Reggie and caused a big argument between him and Kim. HMM…Interesting I wonder what Amber Rose has to say about this?
