Registered Sex Offender Giving "Private" Piano Lessons

Green was serving five years' probation after pleading guilty in 2009 to child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and giving alcohol to a minor.


A registered sex offender, who had for years been giving piano lessons to children in metro Atlanta, has been jailed for violating his probation.
Robert Henry Green, 55, a well-known and respected music teacher in DeKalb County, was caught out after a mother's intuition prompted her to re-examine his past.
Rina Buckner was introduced to Green through a friend and decided to hire him to give her daughter private piano lessons. She became suspicious, though, when he took a "strange" interest in Chemani Baxter, which included offers of taking the girl on unsupervised day trips to Athens.
"You can't really trust anyone. You need to see who's really around your children".
