Boys II Men To Receive First Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in 2012

Your Black Gossip reports:

R&B superstars Boyz II Men will receive the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.

The ceremony will take place on Jaunary 5 and will be the 2,456 star to illuminate the famed boulevard. The group’s star will be located next to Motown legends, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Miracles and The Temptations outside the Live Nation building, according to Yahoo News.

Boyz II Men is the most successful R&B group of all time, selling over 60 million albums worldwide. They formed in 1988 at Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts and by the 1990s, they were signed to Motown Records as a quartet. The group won four Grammy awards in the 1990s and was nominated for three in the 2000s. The group is now down to a trio after baritone Mike McCary left in 2003 due to health issues.

Well deserved honor, gentlemen!
