Basketball Wife Sued for Helping Antoine Walker Hide Money from Bankruptcy Courts

Evelyn Lozada, one of the stars of the TV Show, “Basketball Wives,” was never actually married to an NBA player.  But then again, almost none of the Basketball Wives have ever been married.  But Evelyn was engaged to former NBA star Antoine Walker, who infamously blew threw over $110 million during his playing career and is now entirely bankrupt.

The courts are alleging that Lozada helped Walker hide some of the money that was entitled to his creditors, about half a million ($560,000).   Authorities are saying that the transfer was fraudulent and the trustree is demanding that she give the money back.

Walker says that he wasn’t trying to defraud anyone.  Instead, he says he gave Lozada the half million to help her pay bills (maybe her utility and cable bill were REALLY high).   The trustee claims that the money was used to fund Dulce, a Miami shoe store that Lozada now owns.

But Evelyn’s friends say that she didn’t use Walker’s cash to fund Dulce.  Instead, she apparently funded the store by selling her engagement ring.  Now that’s what true love is all about.
