Wu-Tang's Founder, the GZA, recently announced that he has signed a new deal with NYC-based indie label, Babygrande Records ... where he'll be releasing a forthcoming project.
"We have a fantastic relationship with GZA, and we are honored to have the opportunity to continue to work with him," said Babygrande's founder, Chuck Wilson.
The hip-hop veteran plans to drop a new album in 2012.
Details regarding the deal and/or forthcoming album were unknown at press time.
The GZA is one of the founding members of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. While his work with the Wu is in the history books, the Brooklyn rapper has released six LPs as a solo artist, his last being 2008's Pro Tools, which dropped via Babygrande.
