The antithesis of the Real Housewives and the Kardashians, ‘Being Mandela,’ a new reality show starring three granddaughters of the iconic leader while they live, work and love is headed to the US.
Staring Dorothy Adjoa Amuah, a 27-year-old lawyer, her cousins Swati and Zaziwe, the show is a positive look inside the lives of three young women trying to make life happen.
Swati Diamini is a 32-year-old single mother working at a foundation. Zaziwe Diamini-Manaway, is a 34-year-old fashion designer and pregnant mother of two.
Although neither their venerable greandfather nor their parents will appear on the show, ‘Being Mandela’ is produced by Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Kweku Mandela. It will begin filming in December and the show’s creators hope it will hit airwaves–in both South Africa and the US– early next year.read more
