The Brooklyn man who 10 pounds of marijuana in the basement of a daycare center was carted off to jail today despite his plea to remain free and protect his wife from the men who tried to rob his stash.
Sherwin Rogers was sentenced to three months in jail after pleading guilty in April to first-degree marijuana possession, a charge that carries a sentence of up to 15 years.
He and his wife Donna Rogers were arrested in June 2009 after robbers stormed the Special Moments daycare center in East Flatbush.
