Dancer, author and aspiring actress Royce Reed of Basketball Wives was stricken ill with a seizure while taking part in the Duffy’s Hope Celebrity Softball Game in Wilmington, DE. Witnesses stated that she pulled a hamstring and went to sit down, after which she passed out.
Reed refused transportation to the hospital. According to TMZ, Reed told them that she was feeling fine and didn’t need to be taken to the hospital. She has plans to visit a doctor after she returns home to Orlando. Reed reportedly told friends she felt that a combination of exhaustion, stress, the heat and her diet caused the episode.
Reed, a graduate of Florida A&M, is a former gymnast, competitive cheerleader, and dancer for professional basketball teams the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat. She and ex-boyfriend Dwight Howard (Center, the Orlando Magic) have one son. Reed’s burlesque company, Fantashique, travels and performs in Florida.
