According to the LA Times Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to fathering a child with a former member of his household staff more than 10 years ago. This news comes a week after him and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, announced they were "amicably separating.”
The couple did not publicly reveal their split until May 9th, but According to the LA Times they have been living separately since earlier this year when Schwarzenegger admitted to his wife the child was his.
"After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger told the Times. "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.
