*After performing in tribute to her late brother Michael at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, Janet Jackson posted a new track on her Web site titled "Make Me," likely the first single from her upcoming album due in early 2010.
The bouncy dance tune borrows from Michael's 1979 hit "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." The lyrics call for the song's target to "go on get up and shake your body," promising "we're gonna have a good time."
Lil Mama says she meant no disrespect when she jumped on stage, uninvited, to join Jay-Z and Alicia Keys as their performance of "Empire State of Mind" wound to an end.
“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys,” the rapper/"America’s Best Dance Crew" judge said in a statement released Monday. “I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up on stage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”
