PRESIDENT OBAMA’S BROTHER SPEAKS OUT

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

President Barack Obama's half brother has broken his media silence to discuss his new novel — the semi-autobiographical story of an abusive parent patterned on their late father, the mostly absent figure Obama wrote about in his own memoir.

In his first interview, Mark Ndesandjo told The Associated Press that he wrote "Nairobi to Shenzhen" in part to raise awareness of domestic violence.

SARAH PALIN ON THE OPRAH SHOW

Former GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and talk show host Oprah Winfrey will finally meet face to face on Monday, Nov. 16, when the hockey mom is due to appear on the show to promote her new book.      

The appearance comes after months of accusations that Winfrey, a proud supporter of Palin's Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama, was refusing to interview the former Alaska governor.

As reported earlier, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway. The selection of Obama has met quite a bit of mixed reaction from the world community.

But what about the President himself? What does he have to say about winning the prestigious award? Does he think he's worthy of it? Here are his thoughts:

This morning, Michelle and I awoke to some surprising and humbling news. At 6 a.m., we received word that I'd been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.

First Day of School for the First Kids of America


This morning president elect Barack Obama's call to duty wasn't international affairs but getting his two daughters off to school. Today was Malia (10) and Sasha's (7) first day of school at their new school in Washington D.C., the girls will be attending Sidwell Friends School at two different locations.
