FIRST LADY ALWAYS LOOKING GOOD

I feel the same way about Amber Rose that I do about Michelle Obama: they can do no wrong. (And I know I am also dead wrong for mentioning both names in the same sentence, but alas....)
In my latest edition of What Michelle Wore, we will focus on her knee-length, floral-print Thakoon ensemble she wore in Pittsburgh at the G-20 Summit.

While others were focused on the important political speeches, I was gazing at what Mrs. Obama and her sister in chic, French first lady Carla Bruni, put on for this photo opp. Who looks better?Personally, I am all about Bruni's chic, form fitting black dress. But Michelle's fun, floral print dress steals the day. I think she could definitely have lost the pearls for this particular look though and I am I the only one that isn't in love with the shoes?

NEW BOOK ABOUT OBAMA’S MARRIAGE

A new book about the First Couple's marriage claims Michelle Obama gave her husband the silent treatment at one point during the presidential campaign, and that he had eyes for a young woman working for the campaign.

In "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage" (William Morrow), Christopher Andersen claims brazen women on the campaign trail "pushed their bodies up against his, slipped phone numbers into his pockets" and whispered lewd suggestions in his ear as he traveled across the country running for president.

Michelle Obama: She Wears Short Shortsk

No doubt about it. This story's got legs. The first lady took a look-see at the Grand Canyon with her family this weekend while the rest of the country got a good look at her gams. Michelle Obama braved the blistering Arizona sun with an even braver style of shorts.

This winter we got a view of the fashionista-in-chief's powerful arms, and now there's proof that she's got stems to match. The bare legs set off a firestorm of buzz on the Web, with looky-loos typing in "michelle obama short shorts" into the Search box.

The Huffington Post declared that Michelle O. was the first first lady to step out of Air Force One in anything close to Daisy Dukes and asked, "After all, can you imagine Laura Bush or Patricia Nixon doing the same?" Soliciting online opinions, the site is holding a poll on whether the first lady has the "right to bare legs."

To be clear, the shorts pictured are above the knee. But note that the first lady pairs the shortish shorts with running shoes. Sex pot? Not. She looks like a tourist at a national park, except with Air Force One behind her. Another fashion accessory that's turning heads: Michelle Obama's confidence.

Michelle Obama’s New Look

The First Lady Michelle Obama was rocking a new hair-do last night at the White House’s Country Music Concert.  Now I really don’t know if she actually chopped off some of her locks or if her hair is just pinned up in the back, but I do know I am liking the new look.  So what do you think, is this hair-do a “do” or “don’t”???

In this week's issue of the National Enquirer, they claim that she may have an alcohol problem. Here's what an close source told ENQUIRER.....

Michelle Obama - cracking under the pressure of being First Lady - is drinking way more than she should, friends fear. Longtime pals have been keeping a close eye on her White House booze intake for months, sources told The ENQUIRER, and her husband President Barack Obama even stepped in when she recently consumed too much alcohol."When Barack saw Michelle drink more than she should at a recent dinner, he hit the roof. He told her, 'This is NOT going to turn into a problem!'" a close source told The ENQUIRER

The First Family was spotted in France, first at the Eiffel Tower for some sightseeing and later attending the 65th D-Day Celebration in France. Looks like it was a great time!

Michelle Obama, the first lady, her daughters,and their dog Bo are headed out this weekend on their first family vacation to Paris since they been living in the white house.

Mrs. Obama Gets Waxed

Notice something different about Michelle Obama, she has a nice glow about her, doesn't she?

That's because you're looking at the first wax likeness of the first lady, which was unveiled at the Washington, D.C., branch of Madame Tussauds early Tuesday. Unlike some of the other stars in the museum who posed for their figure, this statue was created based entirely on images of Mrs. Obama. They even included her signature pearls and black flats. Mr. Obama's wax statue was unveiled here not too long ago as well. He is also the first commander-in-chief to be on display in all eight Madame Tussauds locations worldwide, which is quite an honor.

Mrs Obama is only the third first lady to receive such a tribute, the first two being Jacqueline Kennedy and Hillary Clinton.

Now hopefully Sasha and Malia will get the wax treatment as well.

Michelle Obama Tears up Europe

Michelle Obama is the best thing that ever happened to J.Crew.
As photos surfaced of the First Lady once again wearing an outfit from the preppy line in London this week, a shopping frenzy ensued stateside.
The cream-colored "crystal constellation" cardigan ($298) she wore during a visit to Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre Wednesday sold out on J.Crew's Web site by 10 a.m. that morning (her "dazzling dots" skirt, $158, is virtually gone as well).
If you want that sparkly cardi now, get in line: There's a 200-person waiting list.
With the company's stock price up nearly 64% in the past four months, it's good to be the fashionable First Lady's favorite retailer.

First Lady Michelle Obama brings Black History to the White House

Michelle Obama hosted an event for three local schools in the White House to celebrate Black History. According to the details below the First Lady was elated to know that the children were aware that the White House was built by slaves:

Mrs. Obama seemed a bit surprised when the sixth- and seventh-graders from three local schools said yes, they knew slaves helped build the White House, that President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation upstairs in a bedroom named for him, and that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders met in the building with Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson to discuss the end of segregation.



“So you guys know your history. That’s a good thing,” she said. “That means your parents and teachers are doing their jobs.”

Mrs. Obama encouraged them to look beyond the names in the history books and to “think about the extraordinary people who live in your own world,” like parents, grandparents and teachers, “all those folks who play important roles in black history and American history every single day.”
