An 83-year-old Iowa man was busted Tuesday for prostitution after he offered his sexual services to a 34-year-old woman who owed him money, authorities said.
Ben Clifford Dawson, who KTVO 3 News reports is a candidate for the city council in Centerville, propositioned Melissa Drew several times in the past five months, according to a police report.
The elderly fellow had loaned Drew around $7,000, and offered to shave off some of that money if she would "allow him to perform sexual favors upon her for his pleasure," the report stated.
Dawson repeatedly offered up his body to the younger woman on the phone, police said, and at least once in person.
At one point he grabbed Drew and "began to kiss her neck against her will," the report said.
Dawson was charged Tuesday with two aggravated misdemeanor charges, along with prostitution and intent to commit sexual abuse, police said.
