Comedian Patrice O'Neal has suffered a stroke and doctors still do not know if he will recover, the co-hosts of the "Opie & Anthony Show" revealed Wednesday. "The family wanted it kept quiet, we've known since last Wednesday," the radio program's guest Rich Vos said, adding "We don't know how he's going to be ... It's so f*ck*ng sad."
O'Neal, 41, had been a regular guest on the SiriusXM radio show, and has also appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
O'Neal was also one of the celebrities who took the stage for the "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen" that aired in September.
Though the family has asked for privacy, an email account, LoveForPatrice@gmail.com, has been set up so fans can send words of comfort and support.
