Anderson Cooper, host of CNN’s Anderson 360, isn’t enthused about Chris Brown’s new self-help movie deal on romantic relationships. Cooper sarcastically says he cannot think of a reason why Brown, currently on probation for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna, should not play the role, since “he just oozes romance.”
Cooper pointed out Brown’s earlier online apologies to Rihanna, “Check out this love poem he posted on YouTube five months after he repeatedly punched her in the face and threatened to kill her while her mouth was filled with blood … .” In a surprising twist, Brown tweeted an answer to Cooper’s reference to bygone days “I guess people need ratings! LOL! It’s cool. Much love.” If there was ever a Bible scripture about heaping coals of convicting fire on the heads of haters who don’t understand the meaning of the word ‘forgiveness’, Brown just showed the better side of what is his literal “behind” — something even Anderson Cooper was likely not expecting. He’s moved on, so has Rihanna. Cooper appears to be stuck.
Brown was cast as a lead member of the Steve Harvey ensemble “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” which is currently under production in Los Angeles. His role is unknown at this time, but he joins actors Michael Ealy, Taraji Henson and Gabrielle Union on the cast. The film is scheduled to open April 2012.
