As children, we are all familiar with the game “Ding-Dong-Ditch”… It’s when you knock on your neighbors door and take off running…
I don’t think that this man was familiar with that game, being that when a 12-year-old boy knocked on his door and took off running Michael Bishop, 56, shot the boy in the back with a shot gun…
Louisville, Ky. Police say that the accident occurred on Monday night, at approximately 10:00 p.m., when the kids played the game… Witnesses in the suspects neighborhood said that Bishop ran out of his door, armed with a shotgun and began to fire at the youths… When firing, Bishop hit 12-year-old Jason Eberle in the back and shoulder…
As of now, Eberle is in stable condition at Kosair Children’s Hospital with collapsed lungs, according to WLKY 32 News…
Bishop has been charged with Attempted Murder, and neighbors say that they are not even sure if the boys knocked on Bishops door that evening.
Police say that residents were complaining about the kids the night before but they did not feel that the young boys deserved to be shot at, let alone hospitalized…
These kids were just being kids… Does that mean that you have to shoot one of them?
