A Gwinnett County man is in custody accused of slapping a stranger’s crying toddler in a Stone Mountain Wal-Mart on Monday.
Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Roger Stephens
Sonya Mathews, the mother of the 2-year-old child, told police that both were walking in the aisles of the Rockbridge Road store when Roger Stephens, 61, approached and said “if you don’t shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you,” according to a police report.
A few moments later, in another aisle, Stephens grabbed the 2-year-old and slapped her across the face four or five times, according to the report.
Stephens then told Mathews, “See, I told you I would shut her up,” according to the report.

I tell you what I would I fought that fool to the death of one of us as soon as he first opened his damn mouth to threaten my child or ANYBODY else's child for that matter. That I don't play! Ain't NOBODY gonna get away with harming NAY child in front of me.
I could not believe this, when I first saw this I was shocked beyond measures! I guess the mom was in shock, but me I'm always on guard for FOOLS! I know too many of them and if need be I can be a bigger one! This EVIL DEMON needs to be dealt with by the angry FATHER, other ANGRY parents who's child have been abused and FOOLS like ME! OH! I'll show you a FOOL for sure if I EVER come in contact with SOMEBODY, ANYBODY doing this to a child.
And NO! I have NEVER wanted to SLAP a baby for crying, that's how the communicate their needs! Do they get on my nerve sometimes? Yes! But nobody in their RIGHT mind would hurt a child! NOBODY!
Lord have Mercy on HIM, if he would have slapped my child; I would be the one in jail because I would have kicked his asprin_tablet to death. Oh NO! Not in my world.
He must still believed he was the slave master, I would teach him that he is the slave!
I wonder how badly beaten he will be in the near future?
