“The third time looks to be the charm for Lil Wayne as the rapper’s latest album, Tha Carter III, hits the platinum mark with more than 1 million copies sold. The album sold 1,005,545 copies, a number which will be made official when Nielsen SoundScan issues chart reports today (June 18).”
I guess people really do buy CD's! Who knew? LOL

dude still over rated in my eyes. he doesnt stay on topic when he raps. he is al over the place saying all sorts of stupid things and people think its hot cause the beat is cool or his delivery. man hip hop has lost its roots and what he said about DJ's is ridiculous. man all artist and hip hop heads know that DJ's are what make and break the industry. he is whack and so is Jermaine Dupri (who was coat riding with his comments). not to mention Wayne has oversaturated the market cause he will do any song for money which makes him in the words of 50 "a whore" cause he will do anything for money (and im not fond of 50 at all). i really do think his record company bout majority of the records to help with the illusion that the cd is hot.
he is smart about one thing even with all the collarberating he does if the joint ends up being hot just for his small portion of the song he will still get chunks of that cash.i don't agree with everything he does but obviously he's doing something right.
